Creative Bootcamp Review: Part 2

Creative Bootcamp Review - Fox + Hazel

As promised, I’ve got the second half of my review of Creativebug’s Bootcamp class!

You can read my review of the class HERE, and see some of the pages in my sketchbook from it. This class is taught by Lisa Congdon and there are 6 parts to it. The very last chapter is a fun bit on making an accordion journal. I’ve made accordion journals in the past and LOVE making them. Lisa demonstrated how to make one using a technique new to me, and it was really easy to do.

I wanted to share this journal in it’s entirety as I loved creating a cohesive spread that covered one entire side of the journal. True to my sense of restlessness, I tried pushing myself to create in a new style. Typically I’m all about those layers and bright colors and loud pages. After taking Lisa’s class it really made me want to scale back and try a more minimalist and basic approach to my art journals.

The reverse side I allowed myself to get a bit crazier, and tried to fill up with as much pattern and lines as possible!

If you want to know more about the class, you can read all about it on Creativebug and take it yourself! I’d love to see what you make if you take it. Tag me on Instagram so I can cheer you on!

You can see and purchase some of the supplies I used in this journal below. They’re all easy to get and easy to use!
